Just out of interest, why was this implemented into the league layout?

Adopted from the Midland Merit League due to all clubs not playing the same amount of games.

Not sure how it works in the league quoted above, but we seem to have had a distinct lack of games within the whole league this year. Scrapping the average points would surely increase the number of games played because teams would HAVE to play games to challenge for the top, rather than win a few and then not play any more because of the threat of losing your average?

Teams have to play a minimum number of games, like they did in the first season.

I am aware of that but teams should be rewarded for playing more games (not just a point for completing a fixture) which would come if they were to get to a final because they had played 10 games for example, whereas if they'd played one less they wouldn't have got there?

Teams are rewarded by playing home & away fixtures, not just home matches.



Any thoughts on how the league can be improved send an email to the committee or pm me and it will be discussed at the end of season league meeting.

Agreed any suggestions will be listened this winter but we need it emailing on not on here.
