2 days after the announcment and i, like many of you posters on here am still not hearing any concrete proof/reasons why we were not chosen over Wakefield!



This topic is going to get debated and debated until the cows come home, and i doubt if we will ever get a straight answer (because i dont believe that there is one!) as to why Fax were left without a licence.



But one thing that has really been grating on me is the fact that our ground The Shay was used for SL games this year, two of which were live on Skysports!!!!



i ask you this, what would Huddersfield have done if we had simply said "no", i presume that this was an agreement made between the council, the RFL and the two clubs.



Where would Huddersfield have played?



would they have used Wakefields ground???!!!!! i thnink not.



this alone is proof in itself the the RFL have just used us in their little 'game', and something must be done to compensate our club and directors for their hard earned money, and more inportantly TIME wasted jumping through hoops in the last 3 years!



The RFL must answer some big questions from powers in govenment way above their own heads to explain this mockery of a sporting body!



it will get worse before it gets better, but something has to be done!! soon aswell before our sport is literally destroyed from the bottom up.

I think Nigel Wood said they would be meeting Halifax next Tuesday which was the earliest possible date when everyone concerned would be able to meet.



Knowing the RFL though they might change it to Wednesday or Thursday or Friday or without letting Halifax know and then punnish us for not turning up.

They should have the guts to arange a meeting open to the fans bloody cowards

...whilst having an appointment with another Club already in the diary!

Like Nigel Wood said, its up to the clubs if they want to publish the results so come Wednesday Fax will be publishing theirs if we are as hard done by as we think.

But as long as Wakey don't publish theirs we will have nothing to compare it against.

Its quite clear what they will mark us down on!



Youth - fair point, but how ar we to run a full youth setup on our budget while atill maintaining a competetive 1st tea,. and running arounf ticking all the other boxes they wanted us to!



Money - we have none.



however run the club for the last few years at a profit!



we needed a Gartland or Mr Probiz coming in about 6 months ago, we were a shoe in then!

Sheffield, with their paltry crowds, run U23, U18, U16 and U15 teams and are competitive enough to be above above Fax in Division Two.



Maybe you're not as hard done by as you claim.

I said it before. A stadium does not make a licence bid. For me this is the only place we beat wakefield.



There are two areas all championship clubs need to be angry over:



1. Championship clubs can never, and if SL clubs are run properly, should never be able to compete with a licence bid from a SL club.



2. The RFL should have told us our bid was not good enough when they received it and not used us a pawn in their game to give the process credibility.



Other championship clubs can laugh and our board can bitch and moan as much as they want but unless the championship clubs unite and raise these concerns to the RFL in a sensible and considered manner nothing will change and we will all be used to play lip service to their system being acheivable for all.



We have been the best club in the championship, bar widnes for three years and I suspect we came nowhere near. That is very very worrying!

We were most definitely used. They knew both Crusaders and Wakefield were in trouble at the start of the year. We were simply kept in the process should both go under to give the RFL a get-out clause. Lucky for Wakey they found a rich benefactor to save their bacon. Simple as that really.
