Looking bleak .................

got half way down reading it and got bored. its the same thing over and over again from these clubs and its = a licence into super league while clubs like us are praticly told we are making our figures up and crossing our fingures.

the so called team that included all who work for the rfl should be made to answer how they came to give all these clubs their licence and made to answer what ws different in our application apart from lack of debt

A reflection of the whole sport outside the top half dozen , and some clubs and their fans have the missguided idea they could play in SL and perform better than the Salfords of this world, if you cannot grow a club when competetive and winning the bulk of your games, you sure as hell wont build one if you are going to be getting hammered on a regular basis

And that's why James Rule wrote this week about why Widnes have to be self-sustaining. O'Connor has seen a lorry load of money disappear in 2012 with attendances 2,000 down on his minimum target. Wilkinson at Salford always said that 8.000 attendances were needed to at least break even. Too many clubs are NOWHERE near that number - and neither are we by the way.



Super League is a club killer.

if thats to do with what i said then dont get me wrong i know the time still wasnt right but my point is cleary written that we were told one thing when other clubs are in a worse position and get a licence. i feel we should have an answer to whats difference in the clubs who clearly had more debt than they could handle

Just an opinion of where the sport currently is, mostly neck deep in brown smelly stuff, Although some seem to have lost the sense of smell

and IMO the sports is in the stuff down to the same person who needs to give answers to the bullsh*t of an excuse not to put us in but say everyone else can have this grade and that

So your solution is we all stop watching the clubs we support and follow one of the 6 clubs who will be left ?



Or maybe all clubs outside these top 6 are doomed.



What has happened to ambition ? Just not worth bothering about is it.





Lets all pack it in and watch footie ? Not me.

While I dont disagree that Mr Wood is hugely culpable in part for many of the sports current problems , the clubs generally are poorly run with little if any idea's on how to improve themselves



Instead they tend to be lazy and all too quick to blame anything they can to excuse their own failings

Not my ' solution ' at all frank, have I suggested anybody else should not continue to support their club?



Ambition is fine frank, but without a ' plan ' to achieve it, it is poinless and more dangerous to a fan base than me

cant disagree with that apart from the main thing holding us and many back is the chance to move forward with the main example no promotion which means no interest and as u said in an earlier post "if a club cant gain fans when winning how it suppose to when getting stuffed? well same answer because we arent winning as there is nothing to win when u show your the best in this league all u get is money that doesnt even cover a years wages

I am no fan of the licence system and agree it is a hurdle for ambitious Championship clubs, but ultimatly it is what we have, but to build it up as THE reason any club cannot improve itself is just to make another excuse, dont waste energy fighting what you cannot change, find a way to improve what you can, start with a blank piece of paper and work from there
