There will be 14 teams in SL next year, Widnes and us will be playing there as well. Cas and Wakey to drop out, one of them may be saved though if the Crusaders go under before then.

Lets assume for one moment that what you say will happen. It makes a total mockery of our sport once again if a club such as Castleford were to drop down when you consider their current lofty position and in all likelihood a brand new stadium in the very near future.

Their league position wont be in their bid document, neither will the stadium. They are no where near with their stadium. Unlike Salford and Saints who are actually building at the moment. They only have planning permission and no funds to build it until they get planning persmission for a supermarket on their old ground AND then sell the ground.

Didnt know Salford were actually building theirs! From a personal point of view i hope Crusaders go down and we go up. I want them to succeed long term as i do with all clubs but the way the whole scenario involving them since their creation has been handled its just embarrassing for the game. Let them be successful in their own right and not at the expense of genuine hard working heartlands clubs.

I am sorry to say that I agree. Widnes up Wakefield down as been set in stone for some time now the RFL are just wasting another 4 months of our time.

A mate of mine was in a gym recently with a few wakey players... They were disscussing what will happen in July. Apparently the rfl are going to be expanding the sl to 16 teams with no drop due to fax and widnes bids being so strong. Not saying this is concrete fact but it does sound quite promising!

thing is though, more teams in SL = more games = more chances for advertising.



if theres more teams in, surely they have a better chance of attracting more fans?!
