| Quote luckyseven="luckyseven"just sit back and think about what your saying,in the past few weeks our wingers rob and lee have done a fantastic job ball carrying to give our forwards much needed rest so i dont thing you should knock them but applaud them'"
Here, Here!
I second that.
I think Rob has been growing in confidence and looks a real strong part of the team. Okay, he has not done a length of the field try YET, but it will come. But he works his socks off (or is that Said?) and he is getting better and better.
I think he has been / is excellent and we havent yet seen the best of him.

I think Worrincy has had two consecutive awesome games. It's a different game nowadays playing wing or FB, with the dummy half work they have to contribute in their own territory early in the tackle count to get a quick roll on. To be fair to the lad, he's come back from some questions aimed at him defending bombs and he looks more confident for it in defence. As a forward in the tight three defending positions around the ruck, you wouldn't want him coming at you at pace with his tricky footwork, I reckon he'll be working to Calland's instructions. My only criticism would be how he carries the ball, a lot of their defenders were throwing an arm at the ball to dis-lodge it.

| He has good workrate, but one thing that surprised me, he doesn't have that sheer pace that I thought he would have to go the length of the field, is he 100% fit or has he lost some pace or never had it?(besides that length of field effort for Sheffield at the Shay) (Sheffield fans???)

He went the full length of the field at Don Valley.

| Quote Greg Florimos Boots="Greg Florimos Boots"To be fair to him when he `dropped` the ball at the end it was reefed by a Barra player and as 1 Barra player had already dropped off the tackle it should have resulted in a penalty to us. Think hes doing ok and will get a lot better.'"
Agreed, but the way he carries the ball it was inevitable that was going to happen.
This sport has moved on so much that wingers can't simply stay on their wing any more and have to take balls up the middle of the field. Worrincy does this superbly and takes the load off the big fellas in the middle.
Barrow's sliding defence yesterday was the best I've seen in this league so spaces out wide were few and far between.

| I take all the above comments on board and I agree ... I was expecting a Mark Preston type winger I suppose. Keep up the good work, Rob.

I have to hold my hand up and say I'm a returning fan after a break of about 10 years, I caught a couple of games at the end of last season and decided I'd make more effort this season. But I have to admit I'm still in the old school wingers frame of mind, I've found myself wishing Rob to "run forward".
I like rob, I think he puts in the commitment and has a alot of heart on and off the pitch and I don't think we could ask for more. He's not afraid of having a go with the big boys, I just always felt he looked a bit weak on the wing, on the few chances he'd have a chance to go down the wing he looked like he was in danger of being tackled out into touch.
Reading these comments someone pointed out that the way fax play it does get awfully crowded around the wing and I hadn't really thought about it like that but it's true, the wingers end up with so little space they have to concentrate more on keeping the ball in play than out pacing the defence.
I hope rob he starts getting the chance for some good runs cos I think he deserves to score some spectacular tries.

Spot on that. On reflection we are the best attacking team and should learn to close a game down like yesterday and stop trying to hammer teams when a win is good enough We let them back into it by some sloppy play.
Barrow have the best defence I agree, they are a good team but we CAN play better, we missed Matt james and Dana Wilson, some younger legs.
