| The prices are far too exspensive for part time rugby in a league which we are unable to get promoted from.

| The problem with heavy discounting is that once you've done it - you can't go back unless you step up a level and offer something EXTRA that the fans are willing to pay. There is scope for us to do it but we will have to stick to that kind of pricing for 3 years at least before we can offer the EXTRA (Super League or Sonny Bill) and put prices up. Huddersfield and Bradford are playing a dangerous game. They can't now ever go back to charging £160+ without losing a massive amount of fans - unless of course they dominate SL and win a load of trophies and that's just not going to happen.
However, I too would like to see the pledge experiment at Fax - just to see the response. If the number isn't hit then it's normal prices - not much lost by trying.

I think you might have a point but who would want a Bulls or Giants season ticket? Wouldnt go if they gave me 10 for free

But its not about us that normally get the tickets, preaching to already converted fans is fruitless, we get them already, we need to appeal to new fans who think its not a bad price, how could you do that when the galpharm is 15 minutes up the Hill as is Odsal and its a 3rd of the price, A Family could buy 3 ST for either club for the same as just one FAX one in the league bellow, Plus SL get more games and First round of challenge cup free. Seriously £160 to watch fax play, Swinton, Hunslet, Sheffield, Crusaders, Batley, Leigh, Fev, Barrow and whoever comes up from the CC1 playoffs isn't that appealing at that price.
Little Rich is right though, cant just give them away as will never get them back up but £100 ST with no freebies would have been great and i would have been there tomorrow.

I agree wholeheartedly with all of that. I've just bought mine on-line but I can't say that I'm impressed with the pricing. It's cost me considerably more than last year (IIRC) at a time when prices should be going down. I personally will always support Fax but I can certainly understand how floating/prospective supporters could be drawn to Huddersfield or Bradford in preference to Halifax. I guess it's like being offered a ManU season ticket for less than half the price of a FCHT one (not that I'd accept either, even if they were free. LOL)
The other thing is the free dining package which I didn't take up this year and probably won't next either. I prefer a pint or two before the game rather than a meal and some of our group don't get ST's and wouldn't want a meal anyway. I wonder, out of interest, what percentage of those qualifying took up the offer this year?

All joking aside i see your point but we cannot compete with Bradford and Huddersfield so what is the point in killing ourselves with a £50 - £100 season ticket. At least we will know that around 1000 people will buy them for sure. The theory is that if you have a season ticket for £50 that you might get three times the interest and then have a gate of 3000 - 4000 at each home game but in reality it doesnt work that way as fairweather people will not attend every week. Bradford are testement to that this season with their poor crowds that have been manufactured on the basis of non attending season ticket holders at £50. I personally feel that it devalues our product. They will come if they want to and they wont if they dont. The fact that there is an early bird offer with certain benefits appeals to me personally, but i will buy a season ticket regardless as im sure yourself and many other will. Money is tight for everyone i know but we have some exciting times ahead, all be it at a lower level than we would like, but there is little we can do about it at the moment. If we stick together long term the club will prevail over the cheapo brigade.

I thought the same but its exactley the same as last year but with the option of going into the east stand. Probably still cant swap stands unless you are a away supporter, ( i noticed this lots this season ).

I'd imagine its a New Position, despite having someone in this role in the past (Chris Murgatroyd, Paul Ebrey), I think Graham Clay did a lot of the Commercial Side of things while he was with the club, and since he left Mike Riley has looked after a lot of that side of things.

| Still think that the prices should have stayed as 2011, particularly as there will be one game less. That said, it's relatively good value but it's effectively a surcharge to the regular South Standers.
No way should we have gone down the Bulls/Giants route but there's not much in the way of enticing any new supporters or bringing back the "lost ones". Surprised the club haven't offered an extended monthly payment option, this may have encouraged a few more.
Having said that, there's no doubt that I will renew.
