Hi guys first post on here and as title says me and my little brother are going to the grand final for the first time and were wondering which pub/bars are the ones togo to. Someone from work said go down salford queys? we get into manchester piccadilly at bowt 2 ish any help really appreciatyed guys.

Theres a wetherspoons 2 mins from picadilly, we usually go there.

Sam Platts 5 minutes walk from Old Trafford is where we'll be, quality in there!

last two visits have been to Bishops Blaize. Good atmosphere between all fans regardless of club, how does it compare to sam platts? only one in the local area ive not been to...

Top of the hill near the can shops is as much fun as anywhere .

Only thing i found about the Bishops Blaize and the pub over the road The Trafford,,,(i think),,is that they charge you £3 just to go in...money grabbers

i seem to remember it was all a donation for charity though, if thats still the case im happy for them to do it

If i knew that were case than i have no problem,but the times i went to there and the Trafford i have never heard that mentioned to me..I think it could well be a way of making a few quid because AFAIK they do the same when United play,,

well its what they told me when they first introduced it in 05 if i remember correctly as we questionned it. If they lied then shame on them and ive been done for 6 years running!

Well Leeds all i can say is that we went in those 2 pubs(Blaize & Trafford and they never bothered you IF you went in early, before 12 Midday..(I think the first time we went there was in 2004)..But then i think it was the 2006 GF Saints v FC,and i got talking to some FC fans who said they had to pay to get in to the Blaize,..We didn*t pay but as we went out there were admission prices on the door with nothing about worthy causes....So Beware,,
