If he considers our former 'golden triangle' should start (correct last night) and yet he considers McShane unworthy of a start (incorrect last night)....why not start Sinfield at hooker ??



I have stated elsewhere yesterday that I do feel we will badly miss Buderus this season (unless Hood can quickly live up to his early promise of course).....but McShane again IMO is being unfairly treated. Bringing him on for the last couple of minutes of the first half was ridiculous and smacked of a substitute for the sake of it. What was the "reasoning" ...considering the 2012 reduced interchanges especially ? Idiotic.



The man does not inspire confidence I'm afraid.

It is always good to see consistency. And it is also good to see your off season break has obviously sharpened you up with some impressive speed off the blocks. One game in and already 2 negative postings on the coach! If you can keep this up you might even get a personal dedication this year in Sinfield's GF speech!

Listening to the radio I found the first half very frustrating. However the second half more than made up for that. The biggest irritation for me is Brent Webb’s forward passes. I hope that gets eradicated from his game sometime within this season.

When you know enough about team selection and the week-to-week variables that may affect that, when you are privy to the team talks, the conversations with individual players and the perceived threats from the opposition - then we'll start to take you seriously.



Until then, at best you're nit-picking, at worst you're an old woman.

It's a good idea when criticising team selection to qualify your comments with something along the lines of 'I can't see why he's doing this, rather than he's 'idiotic'.



For example, I thought Richard Moore might have done enough in the pre-season games to justify a starting place. Clearly, in Mac's view he didn't. Obviously a difference of opinion here, but my view is based on watching Moore excel for a couple of hours in a couple of friendlies. The coach, I would suggest, has a little more to go on. (no pun intended)

You need to learn to distinguish between 'questionable tactics and selections' and new playing systems and selections limited by injuries. Only then will you start to understand questionable tactics and selections.
