Did hear a snippet off someone that our new assistant would have been Franny Cummins if he had know that McClennan was going to quit and he's not too happy about it either, mind you he was also saying that another few members of the backroom staff are heading over to Odsal too.

when i asked karl about a return to sl he said that he would only consider it if he was given a 3 year deal to be the coach so i dont think being an assistant would tempt him to give up his building company |

Having seen the way the PNG guys got stuck into every other team in the four Nations, Mr and Mrs Hetherington could do worse than stopping there on the way home, and maybe signing up a local coach.

I would be amazed if it was an Aussie- Mac likes all things British-he took the captaincy of McLinden at Quins and passed it to Purdham and told the Quins interviewer he wasn't to interview Aussies from the club on the stage!! Fact |
