Think about it.
Leeds are on Sky / BBC more than any other club, with Ablett pretty much an ever-present in the Leeds side.
People new to watching RL will see his ugly mug more and more, and if they're not so disgusted as to turn the tv off at that moment, they won't tune in again. Kids get nightmares, mums think halloween has come early.
Put off RL for life they are.
Parents now reluctant to take their kids down to rugby training as they don't want their kid to come back a 'mini-Ablett'.
RL analysts have described it as the 'Grotesque Ablett Domino Effect (GADE). |

Got to agree with Barnabus on this.
Football is a well established game, whereas RL in comparison is a fledgling sport still under development. Football can afford to carry Wayne Rooney, RL cant afford to carry the likes of Carl Ablett |

Leeds Rugby League can only dream of once again scaling the heights of the pan-faced player award achieved with aplomb by Leeds' own Alan Smith and almost emulated decades later by Wigans Andy Farrell.
You can't speak of ugly players without a special mention for the sub-section "Pan Faced".
