The band at away games? When do they go? And the band are annoying. Constantly drowning out small pockets of real fans trying to create a bit of atmosphere by playing "barmy army" consistently for 15 mins at a time when it's obvious no one is bothered about the chant. And at the home games were a good 10-15 metres away from them.

I meant the drummer and many many times the "Loz choir" are bouncing to Barmy Army so don't get all defensive fella.

Harrigan, I don't believe I've met you yet, but I completely agree with the above. The point of the drum isn't to create an atmosphere out of nothing but to improve what's there, which I think it does by giving a rhythm that basically everyone can follow (the problem often being that sound drifting across the stand leads to not everyone joining in, and different small pockets with multiple different chants).



I think the best atmosphere away this year was probably Wigan (despite the small following), where I was stood with a bunch of guys (yourselves?) wanting to sing a variety of things, and for which I was happy to both play and shut the f**k up for, depending on which was most appropriate.
