Have e-mailled the RFL to see what kind of non-excuse they can come up with for the scheduling of the draw.

the semis will be saturday at 2:30pm or sunday at 3:30pm

Obviously, Catalans would be the semi-final draw of choice but we're capable of beating either Warrington and Saints.

me too as it wouldnt take that long to draw 4 balls out would it?

i also cant understand the rfl's logic in making the draw live on radio 5 on wednesday?

as the bbc cameras were already rolling at todays game between the bulls and the wolves,surely that was the ideal opportunity to pull the balls out! <no pun intended>

why would the bbc and the rfl possibly want the semi-final draw to be made to a "listening" audience rather than a "watching" one?

That's really really random. Awful time, awful day, and waiting 3 days after the QF's have taken place. What a total farce.

It's about as wierd and random.

The only thing i can think of is that they are trying to arrange venues and eventualities of the draw other than that it stucking fupid ???

At some Hotel in Manchester too. Wtf, why does the RFL week after week continue to give the impression that they dont have a fooking clue.

If I get a reply from the RFL, I'll post it here. I'm imagining either no reply or some sort of cop-out answer though.

After a little more thought and seeing this Catalans Paris rumour is going around well and it does make the dodgy draw date make a little sense. If it is true the RFL will have a lot of discussions to do regarding the venue, financial aspects and all the marketing. I think its in the best interests of everybody that the RFL take a couple more days dotting the I's and crossing the T's. The last thing we want is drawing Catalans - RFL announcing its going to be in Paris at X stadium - all for the deal to fall on its backside and make Rugby League look very silly again.

It takes them that long to warm the balls up!
