Without that particular dubious offside decision Leeds would have lost.



You could see Ganson desperately trying to find penalties for Leeds (thinking the result was set) to rectify a 10 to 1 penalty count over the first seventy five minutes.

Wakefield were offside though. If you have to feel grateful to the ref for giving a blatant offside decision you know there is something not right with how the rest of the game went.



I thought the "obstruction" he gave us just before that was farcical. The player who was supposed to have used a blocker had actually been tackled 5 yards behind already. No advantage whatsoever to the attacking side - play on.

3 or 4 of them, if not more.

Name them then?



There was nothing different in that defensive line to most of the others.



Had Diskin not knocked on would Ganson have given an offside?

The three or four Wakefield players (if not more) that were stood offside at that play the ball.

maybe its just the fact that Ganson is not afraid to penalise and doesn't let your team off with the many forward passes or put up with the players constantly moaning and mouthing, personally i think ganson is one of the best and fairest refs in the game.

There was one player (I couldn't see the number) stood a metre or two infront of Ganson. If he's been anywhere other than right infront of him I think you are right, but it was the correct decision. The fact he didn't give others is purely down to Mr G.



And no, I don't think he would have given a penalty if Diskin hadn't knocked on.



What this says to me is that Ganson is a ref who doesn't give what he sees, I have the suspician that he tries to set his own narrative to the game (which is why I prefer the likes of Smith - even though he makes errors there is no real plan to it). IMO Ganson sees himself as the conductor of the game rather than the arbiter of the rulebook - his aggressive attitude when awarding penalties doesn't transmit calm to players (Klein got a lot of stick, but he never lost his cool and kept players cool generally because of this). Ganson's face when Donald scored said volumes, I've never seen anyone look as gutted (he looked more p!$$ed off than Kear).

We didn't concede a single penalty for dissent. Please stop listening to that idiot Stevo.

Not talking. He conceded an extra 10 metres twice if that's what you mean, once for talking and the second time for laughing apparantly.
