good draw ?

Looks like 3 of us posted at the same time, you would be lieing if you said you didn't want Leigh, and it's obviously going to be a very tough game but we do have a bit of a history of turning them over in big games at the DW. Chance to get one back from Good Friday before going into Magic Weekend.



Catalans away was the one to avoid though.

We'll probably get the Friday night spot on BBC seeing as W. Athletic are at home on the Sunday.

I'm not sure the BBC would do a Friday night game to be honest. It's the tie they will want to put on as the showcase one (as much as they do showcase) so Saturday or Sunday will be their slot. That does leave a big issue with Latic playing on the Sunday so either the BBC give it up to Sky or Wigan move the venue (Wire?). It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

BBC don't have the Friday slot.

Leeds away on a monday night

As long as it is not Sunday I'm happy as I go on my jollies on the Sunday getting back for the Leeds game the following Monday.

It will be an utter shame if this game can't be watched on free to view television.

Is there actually a Premier League rule about leaving the pitch unused 24 hours before a game? Or is it down to logistics in getting the stadium prepared?

Not sure what the rules are but if it is a shared stadium then both teams should be allowed the rights to stage their games. i.e. Wigan - Saints on Saturday and Wigan A. - Wolves Sunday.

Should play it at LP if they aren't allowed to use the ground they rent because the lead tenants have a game.



But either way, this draw is as good as a defeat in the last round. It would take something very special to beat them.

Just received a text saying Dave Woods has said Dave Whelan won't let them play there that weekend. I didn't hear it myself so can't vouch for the authenticity.
