I must have been watching a different game, I watched two poor teams tonight, If Wigan turn up at old trafford like they did tonight the Saint will murder them.

Both sides had little or no game plan what so ever, their structure was almost non existant, Huddersfield would have beaten both of them.

Wigan are favourites but only slightly. They can defend the line, we can't so it's a game that's theirs to lose

Doesn't matter. Wigan are superb defensively. They get three or four men into every tackle, even if two of them are technically flops. They then hold on, waiting not for the first move call, but the second. They then peel off one by one and 8 or 9 seconds later the opposition faces a set line of defenders who are rapidly encroaching. That IMO is the main reason they are where they are in the table and in the Grand Final.



What Saints require is a strong willed refereeing performance.

FFS man get a grip. I take it you wont be bothering with buying a ticket then, you negative so and so. If so it's your loss, you wont be there to see Keiron lift the trophy.

At the end of the day, it will be won and lost in the forwards. We are missing our two best players - our play makers, field kickers, fastest and most agile stars, but we are still there at the end of the day. We won't be as stupid as Leeds, going wide despite smashing Wigan to pieces down the middle. If they stick to the game plan, it will be one hell of a game.

I think it will be tight game with nothing in it.



My worry is it will go how the giants game went on Friday but Wigan will have more threat than the giants. Wigan will want to play us deep in our own half as we struggle to get up the field without pens like on Friday.



Wigan know that at the moment we can score from in our own half and will pin us down deep in our own half, so I wouldn't be shocked to see them kick alot.



Saints need to play the same game they did against the wolves, we need to rip it up down the middle and our kicking game has to be spot on.



Against the wolves we did alot of dummy half running and if we get a roll on we will cause the pies trouble but I fear we will rely on pens to piggy back us up the field.

I agree. But to do that, Potter will need to play Smith at 7, which I doubt he will do.
