I have a full time job and place a bet every now and then. Would you call me a professional gambler?
Some lower league players have full time jobs and get appearance money. Would you call them professional rugby league players?
In terms of fully professional RL, Wigan are a less successful club than Saints/Leeds/Bulls. I know you lot don't like that fact, but it doesn't stop it being a fact. |

If you get paid for it, then you're a professional? I guess the distinction is full or part time. |

Dont you dare call me a Tory!!! yes it's true Saints have been the best team in Super League by far, surely you all cant begrudge us our moment at Old Trafford and we cant help it if we've plenty of people who want to support us.
PS.If we had the team Saints have had over the last few years the D.W would have been full every week!! and it pains me to say that as a Wiganer!

You can dress it up any way you like, but rugby league has been professional over 100 years, and during the 80's and 90's Wigan did it way better than anyone else. That is why we were the best! |

Hmm,
Sculthorpe, Newlove, Martyn, Sullivan etc.
It's a good job Maurice Lindsay got the RL job and bailed everyone out.
We also tried to modernise Central Park, maybe we should have done a Saints and let it rot. |
