I wouldn't have him in the line defending. He looked out of his depth there and was not withstanding the physicality of the tackles.

Watching the tries back, wello gives some good balls, but we're so far on the front foot that it's made easy for him. In close games, do we trust him to have the slight of hand under pressure?



Wilkin has shown he can do it on the front foot, but he struggles under pressure. If we give him a season in the role, by the playoffs (when it counts) he may have hopefully honed his skills to perform when he has less freedom without seeing us drop out of the top 4. Trying this with two new halves, especially two less than dynamic characters like we have, is a real stretch.



When Lomax is back, we need someone to give him slick ball, he wont get enough of this from Wello in my opinion.

When Hohaia is back, he will probably play #6

Totally forgot about Lance, to be honest.



Do you think we'll see Wello again this weekend, or perhaps someone like Charnock? We know Brown like to change it around.

Brown likes to change it around except in the halves. Hohaia will be back at six when he is fit.

It should be his last season, no doubt about it. He still gives it everything, but I think he really struggles with the pace of the game and the defensive stint he has to do in the halves and it'd only be harder in the back row. I'm not convinced that gamble would work, although I'm sure Brown will try it - we have nothing to lose during the regular season.



You can't fault his effort and bravery for the cause though, he still gives everything and comes up with some good moments with the ball.

How many times and how many people on here have said that Lance is not a HB?

All the coaching staff seem to think he is.

S'all part of the masterplan. Show people what it's like having Jon Wilkin and Paul Wellens in the halves, and suddenly Lance Hohaia comes across all Andrew Johns.
