No he didn't to be fair, he said friday or wednesday. That said its probably rubbish anyway.

Which could be suggested, if they had said or done anything in the public domain to make that assumption.

Friday was always a non starter. Too close to a televised match, the potential for chaos was too great.



The noises being made by the shareholders suggest that an announcement isn't imminent. They will not want to be accused of putting the club into administration too easily. And delaying administration would "help" to build up the debt that was paid off by the pledge.



IF we do go into administration, my guess would be mid July.

I would guess its unlikely at this stage until every avenue is explored fully. What is evident, is the problems are likely greater than was initially suggested. For that reason, and providing it is the final option, administration is no bad thing. I would feel incredibly sorry for any SME's that were adversely affected, but I would hope that the previous board didn't generate a large level of credit with any small businesses to be overly detrimental to them.



In more simple terms, admininstration would enable the club to effectively wipe a slate (it sounds harsh but it is a reality of modern business sadly) and re-sign those players of long erm value whilst letting go some of the journeymen who offer us little. Similarly, a number of the quality and extremely hard working staff can be retained whilst some, who for obvious reasons, will be of less value moving forward. It would also allow whatever investors (including CC or whomever else) to obtain whatever shares they wished, I would hope and expect to be to the benefit of the club.



The semantics of administration are somewhat irrelevant given that it is the future of the club that is absolutely prime in the whole debate and not simply how a sandwich shop in Wibsey might be adversely affected. A harsh reality, but I would rather place the safeguarding our our club as being top of any agenda and discussion point.

We need a clear plan revealing ASAP, the last we need is this saga dragging out into July. With the club in special measures we are seemingly unable to bid for out of contract players and unable to offer terms to our current players.



A little bit more honesty from the directors with how things are presented to the fans wouldn't go amiss either. I think the feelings amongst most fans is cut the crap and the point scoring and give us a little bit of honesty.

Absolutely. Transparency with the fans is absolutely paramount to its success and has been somewhat missing for a number of years. People aren't stupid and quite logically invest their mental and physical time into the club on a daily basis.



At this stage it's unlikely and not particularly prudent to drip feed news on a daily basis; because the effects could be negatively consequential in trying to secure the best outcome. Unfortunately we leave in an era where social media dictates the request for news on demand. There is however a fine line between feeding that beast and providing poignant, valid information.



In terms of players, the playing roster will be critical moving forward and for that reason I'm pretty confident the right players will be retained and new additions brought in when time and finances dictate. Administration doesn't mean we would be unable to compete, since I'm certain any review team wouldn't be so overtly naive as to ignore the contractual consequences. Similarly, whilst special measures may be in place, non of us are dim enough to think that conversations still can't take place off the record. It's not reinventing the wheel

From todays T&A...



Coulby told the T&A: “Our efforts at the present time are firmly focused on keeping the club out of administration and putting it on a sustainable business footing moving forward.



“At the conclusion of this process, we intend to give a full account of exactly what has occurred over the past two years and this will answer much of what has been raised by Peter Hood in Monday’s Telegraph & Argus.



“We owe this anyway to the supporters of the club, whose magnificent efforts in April have given us more than a fighting chance of achieving our objective.”



I just hope he is true to his word, he'll get a lot of support back on side if he is.

And I don't doubt that conversations are taking place despite the special measures but it is a big hinderance I would of thought. Some players might quite rightly be a little nervous to accept a verbal agreement from the Bulls right now with some much speculation and uncertainty.

It needs sorting and quickly. Clubs are doing some trading now and it appears we can't. We have too many OOC, and in fairness to them, with mortgages and bills to pay, they are going to have to secure their futures, no matter how much they may want to stay. Couldn't blame them.

Yup. And I'm sure any players would be given reassurances to isolate and mitigate that very point.



Nobody wants administration either financially, morally or PR wise. Nor do I see it as an easy option for anybody involved. The review will outline as Coulby says, where we are, what has happened and what will be happening.



As for Hoods grandstanding in the T&A, I'm actually embarrassed for the man. The number of times he contradicts himself in one article is frightening. "we did pay, we didn't pay; we didn't borrow, we did borrow; we did get, we didn't get." it simply smacks of a flag waving Jonah with very little in the way of business acumen, hence our current predicament.
