It's amazing that three years after those disastrous changes in the infamous Wigan play-off game McNamara is still making the same mistakes when it comes to substitutions.



Thankfully there are only 7 or 8 games left of it.

Yep, he's either destroying all team momentum with them, or just not bothering to make them at all. Completely inept.

So theirs 8 mins to go your 6 points behind so what do you do. Thats right you take off the player who's looked most likely to create something.

He could have always used Plan "A", leave him on the bench for 80 mins!...

Whitehead was injured when he took him off apparently. But the others - no excuse. Just plain dumb.

Macca's take on the game;



Steve McNamara was pleased with the level of his side's second-half performance and was adamant it merited more.



"I thought our second-half performance probably deserved enough for us to go and win the game," he said.



"I felt we were going to go on and do that; we had the momentum there.



"It was special, freakish, whatever you want to call it, but Jordan Tansey can do that and it has cost us.



"But I think we played pretty well in the second half and showed the way to go for us.



"We need to continue that for 80 minutes next week."





What wisdom!.....

So he put him back on again 4 mins later?



Hmmm.

That will not win games, not that it matters to him, he's already concentrating on his other job, if that is possible.













Holy crap Batman!

Tansey finds it easier to do when Bulls tacklers get in each others way.

Do you really think that Steve McNamara is going to be coaching England when there is a "coaching consultant" with him in Brian Smith.



Smells of last year when Tony Smith was appointed as head of coaching and rugby and Jimmy was made 1st team coach.



I would not be surprised to see a top Australian coach in charge of England for the World Cup in 2013, doesn't Wayne Bennett's contract with St George finish in 2012? The fact that one of Bennett's staff is now a member of the England set up is not a coincidence.



We will still not beat Australia though and I really fear for us in the 4 Nations this year.

Why? We were never going to win the 4 Nations to begin with. Doesn't matter who the coach is, England does not have the quality or depth of player resource that Australia has and it's about time people got this into their heads.



IMO what got McNamara the England job is players such as Donaldson, Whitehead and Burgess and the way these young lads have come on at Bradford while McNamara has been in charge (regardless of how much input into that he's actually had) and the fact the RFL can see that unless we increase the quality and numbers of players coming through the ranks we will never be able to compete on the world stage.

Theres quite a few that post on here, but slowly but surely most are realising that Macca is just not upto the task and never has been.
