A journeyman who's only played for one club?

stop splitting hairs, you know when I said journeyman i meant in the sense of being average. scruton and lynch are both better. hargreaves and kopczak roughly at same level as burgess, although I think bryn and koppy have more improvement left in them yet. we need to be bringing in players who are a genune step up in quality over what we already have if we want improve on the field. Academic really as luke will be off to souths to join crowes burgess collection ( I only hope we can hang onto tom long enough to get a decent transfer fee when crowe finally completes the set).

A journeyman by definition is someone who has played at a number of clubs like Danny Sculthorpe. You are defining a player we call AVERAGE. Sod Luke Burgess anyway he is the weakest of the brothers.

I rate Luke Burgess, he's been Leeds's best front rower this season. He's more of an impact front rower than Lynch though so he wouldn't be a like for like replacement, if indeed we needed to replace Lynch which we don't yet. Anyway as has been said he seems to be set to go to the NRL.



As for the other rumours none of them really capture the imagination and I suspect they're all off the T&A board so can be taken with a pinch of salt.

Luke Burgess significantly better than Koppy and Hargreaves. His lazy lateral defence has tightened up, added some grunt and been a stand out performer in a hugely erratic side. To call him a journeyman is bizarre.

Well in last years thread I mentioned that I'd like to see Briggs come to Bradford and later we ended up getting him so I'm setting my sights a little higher this year ... Justin Hodges and Willie Tonga in the centres and a Benji Marshall and Johnathan Thurston HB partnership

I hope we sign Leon and Karl Pryce, If Leon can get fully fit he is one of the best players in the league, it's not as if he's been plagued by injuries all through his career. Get Karl Pryce outside a decent centre and he will score 20 tries a season.
