| Quote Roofaldo="Roofaldo"if he works out he could be a good signing for us. wing is probably one of the few similar roles between union and league. so good luck to the guy'"
I agree. We've had some good wingers from union in the past. Here's hoping he could be another.

This sounds like something with real possibilities
The bloke seems to want to come, will be keen to impress and probably won't take up much salary cap. England Saxons is basically the England Second String, so he obviously must be reasonably highly rated.
Found his page on the Newcastle site www.newcastle-falcons.co.uk/113_610.php Apparently the Rhino nickname comes from his aggressive style which sounds like he is 'up for it', as the saying goes
Good luck to the guy

Quite clearly if you believe throwing a guy who hasn't played a minute of professional super league into a Super League game is worthwhile over some of our other players.
Sykes has played on the wing before for England at the World Cup (he got moved their during the game) and Platt was a winger in his academy days wasn't he?

No it wouldn't.
Sykes played on the wing for London and I think Platt did for Salford.

And was apalling. Not sure about Platt. Anyway, h's not eligible to play first team anyway.

Jonathan Thurston has never played a minute of super league, would it be worthwhile throwing him in if we had him? Or Greg Inglis? Or Israel Folau?

| If he performs well for the reserves then I'd have no problem playing him. He's a league fan, knows the rules and to top it off he's a professional rugby player. Hardly a big risk is it.

Now you're really clutching at straws. Thurston, Inglis and Folau have all played top grade Rugby League.
Incase you forgot, our new guy hasn't played any level of top grade League, only union and needs a little time to adjust before being thrown in. (even though Wing is pretty much the same, you still need to have a decent knowledge of plays and structure of the game)

Okay. You said SL to begin with not RL. And tbf all he has to do is catch and run, and run the ball in early in the tackle count. It won't really take that much adjusting.
