Sounds a fishy business to me.

How different are the two positions in reality? A union wing and a league wing?

Granted its about learning plays and attacking moves etc (won't take long at the Bulls to be fair will it?

) but the actual role must be pretty similar.

The main difference is that a Union winger doesn't get bombarded by high kicks to the corners like a league winger does.

Also the union winger doesn't take the ball into contact anywhere near as much and I'd also say that they have less to do in contact defence although more in positional defence (if that makes sense.) However, the 2 are certainly more similar now than they used to be and it's probably the easiest position to move codes in.

If we can't play trialists in first team games then we wait to see if he's any good in the reserves then offer him a Rinaldi style contract to test him in the 1st team.

The most annoying thing about this Rudd story is the Sportinglife RSS.



Anyone who uses it will probably be having the same annoyance I'm having where the Rudd story keep popping up every 10 bloody minutes or so as if it's a new story!
