One interesting line caught my eye in the T&A reporting of the Goodall signing (which seems a useful addition at this level, hope he develops and goes well for us);

My logic regarding the hiatus in signings was AC was waiting for the new coaching team to be appointed, I suspect that is now done and will be announced or leaked this weekend, and now we have signing news, and it happens to be someone known to one of the supposed candidates....could be nothing in it mind if we go with a dream team of Henry Paul and Richard Marshall instead

I must admit, I noticed the same thing myself. It seemed quite odd to mention a one month loan in there, unless it was specifically being mentioned to include Greenwood. Although I find it hard to believe the T&A have any kind of exclusive knowledge.

I'm sure the T&A didn't come up with that snippet all on their own.



I'll be surprised if Greenwood isn't involved in the coaching set up somehow.

He's been seen a lot at Odsal over the last few weeks, might have been advising on player signings in some capacity as he knows the league?



Would be delighted to see him introduced on Sunday, preferably without Sharp and maybe with Baloo

And before anyone says it, yes I know it says appointed, not announced. And I know the snow has caused the event to be cancelled which was out of their hands. But still, they say "by this date" and it doesn't happen. AGAIN.

AC: “Well Stuart I gather you’ve made a decision on who will be the Bulls new Coach!”



SD: “Yes Boss and the name will surprise you!”



AC: “Well who is the surprise then?”



SD: “It’s me Boss!”



AC: “Bloody Hell Stu, you have no coaching experience so what can you offer?”



SD: “Well Boss I’ve been at this Club through umpteen Coaches’ and I’ve picked the best of their techniques and it should be a doddle!”



AC: “But Stuart you still don’t have any coaching experience!”



SD: “Not a problem Boss all the other Coaches’ had “experience” but it didn’t get the Club anywhere look where we are now and it will save the Club money in a couple of key areas!”



AC: “Ok now you’ve got my interest keep talking!”



SD: “Firstly I’ll combine the Coaches’ job with my present job as Stadium Manager so you only need to pay me one salary that being the Coach’s one, secondly as Stadium Manager it’s my job to get the Stadium presentable for match days and cleaned up afterwards, well as Coach I can get the Players not picked in the 18 to help with that as part of their training and it will encourage them to train better to get into the 18 and it will save on part time labour!‘’



AC: “That is certainly an interesting and original proposition Stuart, I will need to talk to Graham but I’ll have to make sure he has his heart medication handy first but I’m sure he will agree!”



SD: “Thanks Boss you won’t regret it, just one more thing!”



AC: “What’s that Bro?”



SD: “Can I have a new track suit for the job?”



AC: “Sure Bro no problem off you go then, I have an important phone call to make!”



SD: “Thanks Boss!”

We’ll reveal the frontrunner – and indeed the preferred choice of the board – to become the new coach at Bradford Bulls. It’s a bit of a surprise – and a name certainly not mentioned up until now..

The new coach is probably Chalmers himself. But since we know his communication leaves something to be desired, all training sessions will be taken by Super Coach Leigh Beattie.

Wasn't in League Express that first broke the Jon Sharp story? Presumably they're going to say a different name this time, since otherwise it would have been mentioned. So I would suggest maybe not the best source in the world if they've said two nailed on frontrunners.

Just got the online version of League Express. They're reporting Bulls are targeting John Kear and discussions still ongoing, so wouldn't have announced new coach today even if the event had gone ahead.

Hmmm. The Brexit negotiations were less drawn out than this.

League express says certain candidates pulled out last week and Bulls turned to Kear, hence the delay.

Putting my money down now. Negotiations with John Kear will fall through when he realises they're suggesting to pay him in Bulls scratch cards. They'll then appoint Jon Sharp.

Well Kear is a surprise (if it comes off).thought he was more than happy at Wakey. But maybe wants to get into head coaching again.

The question for me is why did other candidates pull out?

Its like Christmas 2016 all over again - but instead of rumours and last minute "pull-outs" by wannabe buyers its not the same farce with the coach.

Next thing you know the RFL will step in to "help" and we'll end up with a southern hemisphere ex-player out of nowhere; but he can only accept the job if he passes certain RFL criteria - but they havent decided what criteria yet - they'll leave that until we've started playing.

The club should change its name to Bradford Farce.

THat aside - I'd be happy with Kear - but I fully expect it to be a different John Kear from the land of Oz
