A bunch of young lads who had too much to drink over stepped the mark, not to be condoned but no-one was physically hurt and i don't think the lady in question will be mentally scarred for life!



Lets get over it...

Get over it, aka do nothing to stop it happening again?

Abuse can be verbal/mental as well as physical - the lady in question was upset enough to take time to write to a blog about it....... how do you know she didn't contemplate doing herself physical harm as a result?

Who? Nobody on this forum has anything to "get over". The people who have something to "get over" are the two victims, it's sad that in the 21st c. they should have to, and a shame that you are prepared to dismiss it as 'boys will be drunk boys" high jinks.

What boredom would that be? If you're bored, I suggest you look up "paraphrasing". Then do some work on the various different grammatical uses to which quotation marks can be put, apart from direct quotes. There's a good lad.

Think this is getting needlessly snippy and I think it originates with Judge666 taking exception to his views being summarised as "boys will be boys". I don't think that is an unfair characterisation to be honest. But regardless, there's no need for anyone to go personal. I think Asim and I have had a pretty frank exchange of views without it going ad hominem for example. Let's keep it that way please.

Cheers - always thought there would be a range of views on this and tbh the thread has stayed a darn sight more civil than I suspect it would on most msg boards on RL or any subject you care to mention.
