perhaps the club could just submit a better bid next time? From all the accounts that I have seen or heard, the Fax business plan and overall bid submission was terrible. Nigel Wood said the clubs would be getting detailed feedback this week - it will be interesting to see if Fax make this feedback public.

I'm sure I'm oversimplifying it but I don't think you can have free movement between two divisions when one is full time and the other is part time. Too much to do in too little time.

The club hasn't issued this - the supporters trust have. It's in the title.

indeed! Which is why, if Wakey were replaced with Fax this time, all that would happen is that Fax would sign the Wakey team en masse- and Fax would struggle next year. Long term development is key to success in SL.

Maybe the fans of Halifax should remember the last time they were in Super League and the mess that was made by the club in trying to stay in Super League.

Different board this time though. As is said about many other clubs, we can hardly be punished for our distant past.



Interesting though, the guy who decides if we're strong enough to be in SL is the one who predsiided over our last season in SL. Hardly in a position to decide is he? That's what the campaign is about.



Although, I admit, as a fax fan, "hate RFL" is cringeworthy. They have many failings that, if we were shrewd enough, could use to get strong backing in the game. Forget not getting franchise eh fax and focus on the errors of administration

Ian... They seem to manage it in every other sport? and the last 18 months have seen administrations a plenty, a poor national team and more free tickets being given away than ever. Lets not let marketing gurus paper over the cracks.



As for the ealier poll for and against P&R, try asking a broad spectrum and not just a forum dominated by those who benefit directly from one option. This is about the game as a whole, SL fans seem to think they are the game.

I don't hate the RFL. I have immense disdain for, and distrust of, Messrs Wood and Lewis but have no intention of tarring the whole organization with the same brush.



I am afraid the Halifax campaign just isn't nuanced and subtle enough to make the right impact. It just comes across as reactionary and without a willingness to engage in an intelligent debate as to what is best for the future of our club.



It's not about P&R per se, it's about the lack of transparency in the whole process, and the way that clubs below SL have been cast adrift. There are much broader issues here than the easy headline.



Clubs below SL need to band together to present a united front and some concrete suggestions as to how things can be done better...

Clubs below Super League need to get their act together and learn how to behave professionally.
