| He read hamiltonsaint's comment (quite naturally) as suggesting no club games should take place at the same time as the England game (as I did) and pointed out that that's exactly what's happening in RU this weekend.
He obviously didn't think (and nor did I) that anyone would seriously suggest that our game should grind to a total halt because some [iother[/i sport is having an international – as you seem to be doing.
If my club game was cancelled because of an international in another sport, I'd get right narked (it's bad enough that our scheduled game for June 13 is likely to be moved just bacause a lot of the Catalans first team might be involved in a league international the night before )

What about England playing in a soccer World Cup final (asif) and contiguous/simultaneous SL fixtures?

Congratulations, I also dont care about union, however thats not relevant and it isnt pointless bringing it up. As much as we dont like it they have a game which although inferior is more successful than ours, so lessons must be learnt from them. As I thought you convieniently didnt answer what I asked. Ill ask you again, would you care to explain why the RFL is such a joke for playing club games on the same weekend as an international? Do you think the Union govening bodies are also a joke for doing this?

| It's great that this game is in Leigh, they are a rugby town.
With the proper pricing, this should be a sell-out.
Fiver im there!

yes clubs pay their wages so they should be given priority over international games.

| Union has the luxury of having a 2 seperate markets to sell its games to. The people who attend international games rarely bother with club games and viseversa.
In RL, the RFL are trying to attract the same crowd of people to both international games and club games.

| Tickets for this should be on sale NOW. Every amateur club in the country should be contacted with regards to number of tickets wanted. Would it be too much trouble to make tickets available at each match? A small but very visible stall on match days with a couple of volunteers selling tickets for the game.
