Ive had an email saying the nrl uk tv rights for 2013-17 will be announced in 2-3 weeks time before the all star game(feb9th)takes place.

I'll be interested to see who gets the rights over here. Where I live, I have problems with Sky reception. So much so I sacked them a couple of years ago, and have been streaming matches on my PC, or going down the pub. Buffering is a problem on-line and going to the pub is expensive. So keep us posted on who gets the tv rights.

Premiersports tv just told me that they should have an announcement next week.80%sure they got the contract.said it would be s curved ball being delivered if they were to lose the contract at the last minute!they hope to show all 8 games each week!!!!

BTs sport channel is going to be on the SKY platform. If you want NRL and 1 live Championship game you'll have to pay another tenner at least. I'll probably just cancel Premier Sports and run with BT. |

Didn't know that deeHell. Might not be too bad then but Ive just read that the BT sports channel doesn't start until mid summer. Roughly 15 rounds in.

Personally I think it would be pointless from a viewers perspective for BT Vision to get NRL as a big chunk of the season has gone but from there point of view it's another leverage tool in the hope of gaining custom.
For someone like me I'd have to pin my hopes on sky adapting a BT channel due to the fact that you can't BT in Hull.
In the long run of NRL in the UK it's a bad option if they want to boost the sport over here! Premier Sports would be the best option IMO (even though they are lacking a HD channel).
