This is no knee jerk reaction, I've watched this club for 40 years and this must be my lowest point. A national league team absolutely battered us!



Friendly or not that performance (for first match at new stadium) was an absolute disgrace from a team of so called professionals against a part-time outfit on a lot less wages than out lot.



The players should hang their heads in shame, these overpaid losers are not fit to wear the shirt. The most enjoyable part of the whole afternoon was seeing this lot quite rightly booed by everybody off the field. Pathetic is an understatement! How do these people sleep at night they are stealing a living from people who spend their hard earned cash to support the club!



Disgraceful is an understatment, heads must roll and i'm not just talking about the players. Where is the pride in these people? It doesn't exist it's all about the money!

I saw loyal Salford supporters close to tears after that performance it was that bad! The Leigh fans chanting your not fit for Superleague was kind, they should have have sang your not for for National League!



I've never been one to criticise the running of the club but surely now those people have to see the light and realise they are being taken for a ride!

Couldn't agree more with OP but you'll still get some moron on this site saying you are taking it out of perspective but I guess thats the Salford way, continue as normal and just brush this one under the carpet same as last game at The Willows.

I think Leigh fans are just as shocked as Salford fans here. A few weeks ago we didn't know whether we had a club and we had barely half a team never mind half a squad. We still don't have an official coach. In that context, we would have been pleased to stay reasonably competitive today, especially as one would think the first match at a new stadium would provide good motivation for the home team.



Looking positively, it's not a bad idea to get your worst game of the season out of the way early on is it? And that's true for Salford as well, I suppose.

No that performance was totally indefensible and I would be extremely surprised if any Salford fan could defend that after being totally shafted up the . . . .

Like you, I saw nothing to get excited about, but to boo players after a friendly is just daft.

How many subs / interchanges did we make? this was just a run out.

Of course we should be beating a side made up of part time players, but they were great and made very few errors - might be the best they play all year.



Expectations are low - as they should be!!

We must have a campaign to f... every opportunity to get supporters interested in the club, last game at the Willows, now the first game in the new stadium, shameful!

Hey ho what do we expect being a Salford fan! Maybe we could start with commitment.

Salford, although this was a friendly clearly by the reaction at the final whistle, this coming season supporters are NOT going to be prepared to be conned. All we ask for was at least look interested for god sake this meant a lot to Salford fans?

I have already stated that I am not going to Barton this year after becoming completely disillusioned with our leadership and overrated and under performing team.



However, I was hoping that a few good pre-season performances and of course the many years of loyally following the team would kick in and draw me back......................but even I didn't think we were capable of a result like this.



Don't give me the old it's only a friendly excuse. The Club should be pulling out all the stops to generate as much interest as possible in pre season. It seems that we are incapable of beating a side that were in complete disarray at the end of last season. It says it all really.



Our players are nothing short of a complete disgrace and the Chairman, Board and Coach should be hanging their heads in shame tonight.
