After 'completing' his six month on full pay he can not come back to work for a couple of days and it all start again, as full pay sick leave. He would receive half pay for a further six months. I have to agree with your premise that it is still a system widely open to abuse but your point is factually incorrect mate.

Think that was in response to me BP. Actually I've just checked with my mate & I mustn't had wires crossed as he confirmed he went onto half pay. He reckons that previously people did get round the ruling by popping back into work for a couple of days but the rules were changed as people were abusing the system. Therefore, I apologise for my inaccuracies.





In my defence I did find that HR "moved the goalposts" to suit whilst I worked for the Council so I'm pleading mitigation!
