| Quote Fully="Fully"Yes, there is.
The media don't seem to use this presumably because they can't see and some don't bother stopping their own stopwatches (they don't have time to cause busy writing).
However, the referee stops the clock for whatever reason and we had a number of stoppages contributing. It never got six minutes added on and even if the clock fails, the timekeepers tell the ref when to stop the game.
The only time there should be controversy of time is when the clock goes down to zero and the hooter doesn't sound.'" I think you'll find it's all a giant conspiracy involving Gerry Kershaw and the RFL.
The BBC Manchester commentary team who were doing the whinging couldn't see the clock so were just making unfounded and embarrassingly hysterical complaints. And were still making them when they went off air 15 minutes after full time. It's little wonder so many fans hold fec[ik[/iwit and ill-informed opinions when the RL media feeds up such rubbish.

Not his integrity.
I think my grandad was still alive when Kershaw was reffing, and he died in 1943.
It's ridiculous that he's still coining it in and,by all accounts, has cocked up tonight

| According to 'tiger radio' which I listened to, they kicked off 5 minutes early as well. Maybe Gerry Kershaw was still having his cup of tea and missed the kick off.

| There were no issues with the clock at the game. I don't know what the fuss is about. The clock was clearly visible and was stopped by the referee whenever it needed to be. Castleford scored their final try with thirty odd seconds left on the clock. We were gutted.
We should have won the game when Meli was put through with two men inside him but he failed to pass to either of them. I also felt that he should have got back into a marker position before Cas scored their final try, but that may be a bit harsh.
I don't think we deserved to lose though.

| I sit behind the "time keeping booth" in the main stand. It's a large digital clock with a button that the timekeeper presses when the referee stops the clock, and one they push when play restarts. A Castleford and Salford director (usually) sits either side of the timekeeper and (I believe) sign at the end to say that everything has been done properly.

| The game clock is there for all to see.
It ticks down unless the ref stops it. How time can be extended god only knows.
F'kin idiots all!

| The clock only got mentioned inside the ground as, where we were stood, no one could see it and there were confusing reports as to how long was left.
Perhaps we should concentrate more on the fact that we had plenty of first half possession but never looked like scoring. Or the three chances bombed in the second half. Or the silly errors. Or the lapse defending we keep being plagued with, particularly at the end on this occassion.
I'm sure a certain poster on here will be pleased to know I found certain aspects of our performance encouraging. However we're still getting it wrong at key moments.

| I thought your forwards really showed up today, particularly in defence. Your line speed, for most of the game, was very good and we struggled to make an impact in the forwards because of it, and the likes of Huby and Lynch struggled to get going.
I'm glad Hock only played a bit of the game, I think you would have won if he had played more minutes. He really takes some controlling with the ball, and is always looking to bash someone in defence! However, 'hit of the day' has to be Carney's belter on Junior Sa'u.

| Listening to it on GMR and i cant believe it, gutted. I dont know the situation with the clock so i cant really say anything. Meli sounded like he had a stinker and Morley was forever knocking on. We are our own worse enermy though and thats the annoying thing. We need to take our chances. Lets just hope we do the same again next week with Locke and Brown in the team

| Nothing to do with todays game but i just wonder how many other games go way over in injury time but because the game isn't closely contested in the final minutes nobody notices especially as some teams away fans are already on their way out of the ground. It didn't look as if you travelled in great numbers today but credit to the ones who did as you made yourselves heard.
