| Slight change of plan for Jake Mullaney.
Adapt the Dean Martin song 'That's Amore'. My lyrics will need tweaking but the general idea is -
From Parramatta Eels across to Salford Quays - that's Mullaney
When he's up in offence and he's back in defence - that's Mullaney
When the ball leaves his shoe from the tee then it's two - that's Mullaney
When he's the last line of defence and stands imperious and impervious - that's Mullaney
When he reminds you of Hodgson but you know you're not dreaming
The feeling is pleasing
That's Mullaney.
Heard a recent 'sound' to the gentle, restrained Mrs Robinson song from The Graduate film
Soccer fans pogoing and screaming it.Thought it suitable in similar screaming mode as -
So here's to you Shannan McPherson
Salford loves you more than you will know - WOAH
and repeat ad infinitum.( Could also be used for Jason Walton and Gregory Johnson )

| I discovered some soccer fans have a song for a far eastern player from an instrumental; Tequila by The Champs
On the popular video sharing site the one with the skeleton, hat and cigar has the saxophone come in on 21 secs
He makes precision passes
He makes them look simple
He can make reverse passes without looking
And he goes by the name of Smith
Tim Tim Tim Tim Tim Tim Tim
Tim Tim Tim Tim Tim Tim
Tim Tim Tim Tim Tim Tim
Tim Tim Tim Tim Tim
(on 42 secs over saxaphone solo)
Tim Smith Tim Smith Tim Tim Tim Tim Smith.

| I wanted a loud one, accompanied by handclapping, and including Salford Red Devils in the lyrics.
Reminded myself that soccer fans recently used 3 Little Birds song by Bob Marley.So.....
Don't worry 'Bout a thing
Cos Salford Red Devils Gonna be alright
Singin' don't worry 'Bout a thing
Cos Salford Red Devils Gonna be alright
Rise up this mornin' Smile with the risin' sun
3 Little birds Each by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs Of melodies pure and true
Sayin' This is my message to you - ou - ou
Repeat ^

| I have read posts from our own fans - and opposition supporters - informing me that Salford fans shouldn't get carried away or become arrogant. There is a whole argument about that, but for brevity I decided to go along with the underdog thing and how we should beg for crumbs instead of dining at the table.
Getting off to a good start and hoping for a maximum attendance on a cold Thursday night, when the tv cameras are there needs some consideration.A home debut by a new signing, perhaps?
As it has been an aeon since we had 3 consecutive Super League victories should we be leading near the end of the 1st home game I thought a suitable ditty should be sung.
So,to the tune of ' For he's (she's ) A Jolly Good Fellow '
( We're The ) Salford Red Devils
( We're The ) Salford Red Devils
( We're The ) Salford Red Devils
'Could We Win 3 On The Spin - Please ' ( The please bit making it a request to the players and not an arrogant statement that we will win 3 on the bounce. This could be repeated in Challenge Cup games where the last line would be ' Could We Win The Challenge Cup,please ? )
We could then have - Dr Marwan Koukash etc. 'Could you sign ( name of player ) please ?'
Should we win 3 on the spin then it's - Brian Nobby Noble etc.' You're Doing A Brilliant Job '.
I did hear this tune used in a distasteful way - but with accompanying handclaps - very effective !

| I had just heard the Kinks - Lola - song, while I was out and thought it would be suitable for Steve Rapire.
Rapira - Steve,steve,Steve,Rapiiira
Steve,Steve,Steve Rapiiir - ra
when I came across a vid which shows a Bob Marley poster in his abode !
[url=http://www.maoritelevision.com/news/sport/steve-rapira-join-salford-next-seasonVid[/url
I also heard The Passenger - Iggy Pop - so for a variation of a La La La La Salford Red Devils - which could be maintained for a lengthy period of time - that could be another one.

| If Dr K wants a tune for 'Red Devils Rising' lyrics then the synthesized version of Go West by the Pet Shop Boys
allows for the lyric - Salford Red Devils Are On The Rise Again - quite easily, and is another one which can be repeated for as long as desired with accompanying handclap.

| I saw a video of Samoa players dancing to a medley of records and it appeared as though Harrison Hansen danced to Kylie song Can't Get You Out Of My Mind.
I did look at a video of the song where Kylie is nearly wearing a white dress. It would seem that to each La La La by Kylie the words Harrison,Harrison Hansen - would fit.
I have just come across the fact that Hibernian ( Hibs ) soccer fans sing The Proclaimers song Sunshine on Leith
As a last request, because I'll knock this on the head and hope for spontaneity on match days - could this song be considered as a tribute to Dr Marwan Koukash.
All it requires is the line - While the chief puts sunshine on Leith - replaced by ' While the Doctor puts sunshine in Salford ' and the remainder of the lyrics perfectly sum up the situation of the past 12 months or so.
Best vids to watch are Hibs at cup finals or the hibs fans in a pub in Ayr - or the Proclaimers,of course.
