| what a coach and what a guy...never moans never condones any ill discipline always gracious in defeat...and never goes over the top in victory something a coach up the m6 could learn from......in the time in charge he`s brought us silverware we could only dream of 2 challenge cups and now the league leaders shield and there could be more..best coach in the league by far

| Simon Moran should now give him a blank cheque and tell him to write his own numbers on it to stay with us for the rest of his career, the best coach in the country by a mile
i agree with other posters aswell he seems a thoroughly decent, gracious, honourable guy

He is a good guy - he doesn't know me from Adam (and even with my saints fleece on), he has held the door open for me at the HJ with a friendly smile (when no-one else was watching him) on several occasions when I've had to visit the NHS suite in the North stand.

Exactly what I've just said to me Dad. I know Tony likes to go to new challenges but if we can get him to stay at Wire in a St George Illawara style, or even a Sir Alex-Man U style, I'd be very, very happy.

1 cup, 1 shield and 1 GF vs. 2 cups and 1 shield.
I make that 3 all. Unless of course you start having a debate over which of the cups/GF is "worth" more. There was a wigan fan (DaveO I think) who suggested that, financially, the challenge cup is worth more to teams. I don't know how true that is.

It's even on trophies (unless you want to get into the 'which is worth more, the CC or the GF?' debate), but when TS took over, we were at the bottom of the league. To finish top two seasons later is a great achievement which reflects his skills and abilities as a coach. There seems to be a completely different attitude around the club now, and it's leading to success of which TS has been an integral part.

| If it goes on the amount of "wins" needed to claim each piece of silverware then it's:
1: League Leaders Shield (usually around 20 or 22 wins)
2: Challenge Cup (5 wins)
3: Grand Final (3 wins)
League is by far the hardest to win so should deserve more credit than it gets.
