I wonder when those who play with an odd shaped ball are finally going to see the light and have goal line technology.



FA Cup semi final and a goal gets given even though it didn't cross the line.



Ok the final score of 5 -1 looks like a walkover but at 1-0 then the next goal is crucial.



It would have taken seconds for video ref to rule out the said goal.



Works for Rugby (both codes), Tennis, Cricket ..... why not the wendy ball game?

Well if they do, let's hope they have it at every game and not just the fixtures on Sky. How any competition could agree to two out of seven fixtures per week getting the VR is absolutely beyond me.

Driving home this evening listening to radio when I guy called up saying he was at Wembley and they were showing the goals etc on the big screens, apart from one!!



They even know themselves they need it!! Even a fourth official and ref with radio link to him????

FIFA have been testing different technologies for a while now and the testing was due to finish last month. They want an automated system though rather than a video replay. They have tested goal line technology before but they concluded it was only 95% accurate which they didn't think was good enough.



If they do agree on a system it could be in place for the World Cup in two years time.

The problem in wendyball is that the game doesn't actually stop to make a decision. If the goal was not given, how would the game re-start?

Isn't there a special board for () other sports?

Hope that was a hands free system or that you pulled over on the side of the road, cause if you didn't that's very dangerous.

they need a light and a siren on top of the net like in ice hockey.

Drop ball like other stopages for injuries etc.

What about whether a penalty should or should not be awarded?

Never thought I'd be agreeing with Roddywell but I'm with you, I have said this for years. People come back and say the cost, etc, well don't have it at all.
