He is the one factor that could ruin an awesome day for BOTH sets of fans. I never thought id write this but Id prefer Ganson. For a game like this we need the best ref, and Stuart Cummings cant honestly believe that Silverdud is the best ref for this match.



Not to mention the fact thats its probably one of the most publicised events and its the first match in 3D, the audience could be really put off if he starts being a noob!

If ever a ref was gonna slow this game down on friday it was Silverwood, poor selection by th rfl .. should of been Ganson..

I would of preffered ganson but after he missed paul cookes knock on when he was right next to them i don't trust him

Looking at that try again I decided that it actually was a try because Manu knocked it out and then Cooke grounded it before Manu...

I thought that myself but even so I think it was a poor decision not to go to the video ref, it definitely wasn't clear at the first viewing.



I am looking at the Silverwood selection in two ways;



It could have been a lot worse, I don't rate Alibert that much.



More importantly, when you win the Challenge Cup, get through to the semis the next year, sit second in the table with a very very strong points different, you must be the kind of team that can get by regardless of who is reffing. I know Silverwood nearly cost us against Bradford in the cup with that crazy penalty against Morley but I believe that in our current situation we are the kind of team that is able to approach every match not even worrying about who the ref is.
