Quote Wire_85="Wire_85"You know nothing at all.
Stop coming on here with your ing over Tomkins your making yourself look like a c[io[/ick
Have you noticed your the only Wigan fan who comes on here banging on about that Tomkins does Tomkins does that?'"
Quite a lot of Wigan fans have been on here debating the issue actually.
Instead of saying I know nothing, back it up.
I am saying that his defence was all over the place, poor positioning, didnt create much, did not organise.... and you disagree with this? Was he talking? Was he organising? Did he create lots? Did he get on the ball much?
Just to top all this off viewtopic.php?t=434935

He was talking
His defence wasn't all over the place
He didn't set the play as much as he should
Hand in first try would have had 2 assists had the passes been taken
He didnt get on the ball enough but that was down to other players taking control although he should boss the other players more
But this talk of he was very very poor, he was garbage is just aload of wan[ik[/i

I never said he was garbage but he was very poor, other than two well taken tries, he just did not do enough for me.

It was one of the most inept displays I've seen from an England/GB team since...well the last inept display! The halves may as well have been on different continents, never mind different sides of the pitch! Given that the reason for Myler's inclusion was he would link up with Maguire better and "move this big ship around the park" it was plain neither was the case!
Now I don't want to keep knocking Myler as I think he is a great prospect and likely to be around the International set up for a long time to come, however, anyone but the most blinkered can see he's seriously out of form! He's not playing as well as he did for Salford in the first half of the season, probably because he hasn't played much in the latter half of the season! The bottom line is, Smith should not be using an international tournament to play him back into form! The Wales game, yes....but that didn't work and as such should have put Country before club and dropped him in favour of the form halves. He didn't, despite assurances that he would 'pick on form' and it almost cost us yesterday. Against a team that didn't collapse in the second half we would have lost and our campaign be effectively over! Now, I know you think he walks on water, but I refuse to accept that France's collapse was his game plan! Of course, I'm just a Wigan troll as I don't toe the Wire 'party line', so what do I know...

If that doesn't do it, I don't know what will.

Watch tonight's Australia - New Zealand game and tell me if you still think this view is correct.

| And to think Cockers got a ban for apparently causing alot of bickering.
It wasn't like this with Nat and Neil running the show.

They are so far ahead of us, its practically a different sport. They play RL how it should be played.

| Just echoing what some people have been saying, it should not be a Tomkins v Myler debate. The simple fact is Mcguire should be dropped for next week, I can actually say that I didn't notice him once!
Ok, Myler's performance in the first half was not good enough, but at least in the second half he stamped his authority on the game and took his two tries very well and I noticed him organising the team a lot, too. Whereas, Mcguire did nothing.
I will say it now, Richie Myler, i think will score 20+ tries for you next season, his support play is superb. But anyway, Tomkins at 6, Myler at 7 for next week please.

I wouldn't say he stamped his authority on the game but I would play them both next week but with McGuire at hooker and eastmond on the bench.
