Wellens and Pryce haven't been themselves since the World Cup. Briscoe is a better option then Wellens and there is a few players now ahead of Pryce at 6. The only real disappointment is the lack of talent at centre, we don't have good enough strike players compared to Australia.

A bit of bias in that squad me thinks. 4 players from a team that finished 10th? does'nt make sense to me.

And ffs, Eastmond is a halfback, not a centre. if we play players out of position, the Aussies will murder us.

To be honest I think its good that they haven't picked the same old faces, they've given some guys from lower ranked tables a chance, Morley, Burgess etc these guys are good forwards and its refreshing to see them get a shot even though they play for struggling teams.



However, the reason we will lose is because we have got an Australian coach. How can the players be given good English passion when they hear an Aussie accent in the dressing room.

I like the squad.



One or two calls I'd disagree with, but I think it's a refrshing squad. I'm happy to see Lee Smith in there too, I know that he's off to RU, but if the squad rewards performances of the last year he deserves to be in there, he was one of our better World Cup performers too.



If you've a backline that contains Hall, Smith, Shenton, Tomkins & Myler or Eastmond, then you'll carry a threat, a threat from anywhere on the field and I think to match Australia & NZ you have to have that, it looks a quicker squad than them of the past.



It was a tournament that I was pretty non-plussed about, it's certainly changed that, I think it's a vibrant squad, should be interesting to watch, see how folk go.
