That is not self defence, you cannot act in self-defence for another person. Saying that, you could restrain him, hold him down etc. but cant go in fists flying. I know what you're getting at BUT the OP did the correct thing, for himself. If he'd had snotted the bloke he'd be in just as much trouble, even ignoring the fact it would then be 2 v 1.

Just go to the police, that's what they are there for. Don't expect anything to be done unless he's found guilty.

Totally agree.Why on earth has the area he could be from got to be brought up everytime an altercation occurs which usually results in Orford taking the blame.Not everyone who lives there is a lout.He's from Warrington so that's a stain on the whole town in my books.

I would imagine the area is substantially covered by CCTV, the buffoon in question will inevitably identified and dealt with accordingly.
