My guess would be that it was a split screen where the left hand side of the screen was a static image then when the numbers were being drawn an assistant wrote the numbers on the balls which nobody would see, when the draw had finished they replaced the left hand side static picture with live pictures.



If you watch it again, Derren Brown never moves from the right hand side of the screen until after the draw, if he had done he would have probably dissapeared.

i think this too.. noticed that he never moved but the camera seemed to twitch a few times

I thought he was a class player, he had a great kicking and passing game for a second row, he filled in at 6 time and time again for Salford as well.

what about maybe the numbers being projected onto the balls after they are known?

the guy must be loaded...but if he can predict the lotto numbers why does`nthe wait till theres a treble rollover..get someone in his family to put the thing on and jobs a good un...retire...

He said he had spent the past 12 months of his life trying to figure out a way to do it though so I doubt it's as simple as projecting numbers onto balls. Also can't see channel 4 giving 1hr of their time up on a friday night to explain how they managed to beam some numbers onto a couple of balls

It will be incredibly simple, it always is.

It's all to do with the amount of times certain balls have and haven't been drawn and the laws of probability that dictate which should be drawn. He's probably got a team who have done research on every single lottery draw and then worked out patterns and such-like and they have come up with 5 numbers that should be drawn in accordance with the laws of probability.



Or, so I've been told.
