Why would it be Brough v Bridge? Brough at HB and Bridge at Centre. I dont think for one minute that we will get Brough but if we ever did I would have him over Bridge at HB with GOB.

Not once this season I've seen anything from Brough that tops what Bridge had done consistantly at 6 this season.

Yes I do rate him and would still welcome him if signed but I fear his influence would unbalance the other half's.

Brough has offered nothing more this season than the status quo so why waste money?

Gary Wheeler is a natural footballer and much more considering in play than Brough, he will add balance.

FWIW I don't think he's Wire bound, but, let's consider fully what you are saying in the context of how much Brough you see in comparison to Bridge and also how much Wheeler you've seen, given his injury record and the fact that he's 'playing' for an opponent compared to any of our halves.



If Wheeler has signed it's a gamble and surely it must be on some sort of a pay/play basis, but, given TS's previous comments I just can't see Brough here at all

What we should do is treat St George like kings, really show off the club and then the fans go mental on game day make it THE most amazing atmosphere ever.

Then try to convince Widdop it's worth coming back to England

He was dropped because he was awful in a totally dominant performance by saints vs Cas. 9 tackles and 18 metres for 80 minutes of play.



We've known he's been going since about July.



As an outsiders point of view, it's a very strange signing - not the type of halfback you need at all - gob should grow into that though with time and patience...
