Just ask around, knock on builders yards or warehouses (lesser known companies) offer to sweep their yards or be a general dogsbody/gopher.
I had a cracking weekend job that kept me fit at 16, i asked around on the Trident Ind est at Risley. There was an office furniture company there and i would sweep around on the Saturday and demolish returned furniture with a sledgehammer to fit in the skips on the Sunday. Loved it, better than any gym that was.
Be confident and just ask every company you can physically find as well as leave them a CV.

My fiance had an email request recently from someone looking for journalism work experience on the paper where he works. 4 paragraphs, no fewer than 27 spelling/grammar mistakes. An absolute belter. I think they've framed it. |
