Assuming the animal isn't hurt, presumably cruelty doesn't come into it? Unless the dog is really embarrassed.



I don't see what all the fuss is about; if I had to apologise and go into therapy every time I got inflagrante with a dog I would never have made it through University (or a night out in Warrington).

Why this is headline news is beyond me. It's one of those things where the embarrassment of the picture going round the internet is enough, everyone can have a laugh at him, other players will rip the mick out of him for years. But now you get all of these do gooders on their high horse about it, they need to get a life.



How anybody can suggest it's cruelty to animals is crazy, a dog doesn't do something it doesn't want to do, if you try to force it to do something it doesn't want to do it will warn you with a growl and then it will bite you. It's a safe bet that if this dog had started growling, Joel Monaghan would have zipped his pants up quickly.



He's obviously invited the dog to investigate his meat and two veg and the dog is curious about it. These do gooders are saying it's degrading the dog but dogs don't care, they sniff other dogs' s and eat food off the floor, they don't have human concepts of degradation. It will have checked out the goods in question to decide whether they were edible or not and then moved on, the dog will hardly need counselling.



If he ends up forced out of the NRL over this then it's a farce but I would happily have him at Wire, he'd be one of SL's best wingers.
