Whats embarrassing is reading all the keyboard warriors writing exactly how they think the league should work and how their idea is better than the next mans just because Wire & Wigan choked at the crucial point!



We all know the craic at the beginning of the season and Id be quite happy for you to watch Wire rip it up next season only to fall at the penultimate hurdle.

The GF should become what it always was - the Premiership - and handled as a separate competition.

Haven't seen you around since your lucky (although hard earned) victories against wire and sts in the playoffs.

Now with your small number of posts, you either created a new profile just to speak on the wire board (unlikely), were banned in a previous guise (likely) or have created an id just to bait Wire fans. That is all.



I'll leave it with the feeling of 'see you next year for your annual spanking by wire (as of late)' and I hope for your sake that you reach wire on a ty day ; like you did this year.



Wire fluffed their lines and I can't see it happening every year. More likely is Leeds will struggle again next year and hopefully Wire will punish them. I say this purely based on the evidence this year and it is likely that Wire will have an off day again next year (hopefully not in a semi against a 5th place pretenders team)

I stick by my previous post (sorry if Rhinosaund III does not agree) but this system does reflect that the most consistent team over the season does not win the SUPPOSED Champions title ie play-offs -5 game knock-out comp at end of regular season.By the way well done to Rhinos they played fantastic to win play-offs,but as stressed prior they are in no way LEAGUE-CHAMPIONS. They are PLAY-OFF CHAMPIONS.Hope that clarifies everything over the hill!!!

suppose you are defending the the vile cheap shot merchant too ,everybody was up in arms about sam tomkins sticking the v sign to the leeds fans how much different is it than what that coward bailey done to the wire & saints fans in the previous 2 weeks , i was sat in the east stand and soon as the hooter sounded to end the game bailey started goading the wire fans , very proffessional eh

In answer to your first paragraph i am an ex longterm BBC 606 poster. Just about getting used to the different format on here gradually. Didnt know it was a crime to post on other teams boards, thought that was the whole poi t? Same name for the past 6+ years but new to RL fans since Jul.



Secondly, weve been delivering annual spankings to a number of teams for years so dont get too carried away with this season. We are the veterans to your rookies.



Thirdly, Your right, it probably wont happen every year, but then again who couldve predicted what happened this year.

In reply to a question raised directly to them about the play-offs the RFL have said that they are aware of the widespread concern over the current format and whilst they are committed to looking into the format of the championship divisions (OMG...dont tell me they are going to 8 or that the lower league champions will actual have to compete in the playoffs --eg:- swinton--) they currently have no proposals to consider for SuperLeague (Translates as "until Sky tell us they want it changing we are keeping it).



No proposals to consider???? What have they not been reading for the last few weeks (and indeed for the last few years around this time)

I haven't read this all the way through but can pretty much guess it's content.



The Grand Final is here to stay. Its a great concept and is a huge success. The play offs are the most intense games of the season where the pressure steps up a level to the regular rounds. If we want to develop a National team where the players are able to cope with the intensity of fixtures against NZ & Australia these games are what it's all about.



The RFL will not consider devaluing the Grand Final just because Warrington or Wigan fans are upset their teams didn't win.

I agree that perhaps the play off format isn't ideal with a top 8, but the whole idea of increasing the number of teams in it i'm sure was to get players uses to the step up in intensity. Perhaps we aren't their yet but in the interests of the British game we want more quality teams.



Just to put things into perspective, we've always been happy and never questioned the NRL Champions being the winners of their Grand Final but just because your own team didn't win your putting the blame on "the system" not the failures of your own team.

NOPE, increasing the play-offs to 8 teams was literally to provide SKY with more RL games to try and "sell Superleague" (and Sky Sports) to more viewers
