| Quote SEB="SEB"Good point. I've always done it like that. Simply find the right ticket when you are a couple of people away and tear out in front of the operator. Doesn't need to take any longer than not taking your book.'"
But why must the operator see you do this? It doesn't mean it's your ticket. On the many occasions I've given my ticket away when I can't get the game, I give a mate the book and he uses it. So ripping the ticket in front of them out or just handing in a ticket makes no difference.
It says ADULT and JUNIOR on respective tickets, so if they can't distinguish the difference with reading it on the ticket, what difference will showing the book make where it just repeats what the ticket says.
I always rip mine out at the turnstyle, it's just a habit, but don't see the difference one way or the other and can't see the point of creating queues like they did yesterday.

| Ok then, the club has said bring your season tickets. A steward told you not to take it out. People think it would be better to remove the voucher for the turnstile operator but have the booklet there (maybe even have voucher sticking out of the booklet). Rather than complain on here, make the suggestion to the club....add your name to that of those...errrr...the one that has. They aint stupid, they have a reason, if your solution will work in conjunction with clubs aims then everybody is happy.
Re closed turnstiles...I known a couple of the people who normally work turnstiles at the club have been ill recently so maybe they couldnt make it..and the club has been asking for anybody who might be interested in working on the turnstiles to contact them.

Because i believe that some of the season ticket booklets contain identical tickets but the covers are different (for Junior/students/adults).

So you already do what is asked and have done for some time, and you think it's a bad idea for other poeple to do it because it caused a queue?
Interesting logic.
How many of those people who didn't know what to do, will do at the next game to make the queue go faster?

| I've always taken the full book with me since 1993, so no difference for me. I ripped my own ticket out and handed it over, no problems there either.
The season ticket book doesn't say anything about not ripping out your own ticket. It just says about presenting the correct voucher and having the voucher book. So stewards walking up and down the line, you were wrong.
To replace the current turnstiles with credit card style season tickets, bar coded tickets, automatic turnstiles costs around what a Myler or Atkins cost, maybe even more. To recoup the investment would take ages, it might be something they look at if the stadium is ever expanded.

The last paragraph is what I've been saying for ages, maybe some would prefer that.

I agree with you (Looks like we're in the minority though but hey, this is still a free country). The word Petty springs to my mind.
Respect your fans Warrington.

People were not told to do what I did, they were told to leave the ticket/book intact by the stewards going down the line. I never said it was a good or bad idea, I just think it's pointless, especially as people were queing for 20 mins, something I don't remember doing in all the time at the HJ. You either have a junior ticket or an adult ticket, a South stand ticket or one for the other stands. If the operators can't tell what it's supposed to be from the ticket, then the book will be no use either.

Im sure many people will "lend" there tickets to mates if they cant make it. Whilst the club may not like this, without introducing ID card there is not a lot they can do...BUT...there are people who sell single tickets to other people and by telling people to bring their tickets they may be able to do something about this.
This weekend was the first time the club had "enforced" this and Im sure that the process will get better as the glitches are ironed out.
