just want to say that after all te cr@p ive read on here, and cherry and white about Warrington fans.......they are ACE.
i sold a spare ticket to a guy of here at short notice, and was sat in the seating for the first time ever.......mixing with Wire fans......everyone i met, and chatted to were nothing short of polite......it was a pleasure to mix.....and gracious in defeat.
oh.......and the game was a cracker.....and i was a nervous wreck until about 3 minutes to go.
thanks Wire and Wigan......and both sets of fans for making my birthday weekend memorable

I commented in the build up thread of Joel Monaghans lack of pace and it was there for all too see today.
It wasn't long ago that I said that Sam was a much better defensive fullback than Brett Hodgson, again that was shown today.
And can you all now see why we rate George Carmont so highly? |

I know hindsight is wonderful but with Briers missing today I didn't like the look of the Wire half back combo.Surley with two hookers in the squad Monaghan coould have played Scrum Half?Warrington played with three hookers today.Myler and Bridge were anonymous.OK,Myler backed up in support for two tries but apart from that there was nothing else.You need a bigger contribution than that from your half backs in such a big game.

No gloating here, it was a great game played in great spirit, a brilliant advert for our game. No shame in losing for Warrington today, the gave it their all but we had more, especally with it being on your turf.
Amazing spectacle.

Sam or Brett, Long term there is only one answer but based on this season again there is only one answer.
Josh or Joel. 2 nil to the Wire
Pat or Matt, Pat is a great kicker but sorry.......3 nil
George or Ryan, difficult but George has been playing well so 3 - 1
The other centre spot , I don't know who Wigan will play buy either way he won't be as good as Bridge 4 -1
Tommy L or Myler, close but I will give it to Richie but only just, 5 - 1 (bit of a lead here guys)
Finch or Lee, Finch is coming good but 6 - 1
Wigan's two starting Props whoever you choose against Moz and Carvell makes it 8 -1 to the Wire.
Mclorram vs Monas
 9-1
Ryan against Benny W, Benny is a winner (and we know it) 10-1
Hock vs Louis perhaps 10-2
Lockers Vs Grix, Simon has been great this year but clearly Lockers 10 -3
As regard the subs, both have injuries so difficult to compare.
Coaches, Smith has be wonderful for us and is building a world class team. But Madge came over from the other side of the world and turned a team of no marks into a great GF winning team, to do that in one year is a fantastic achievement. So 10 -4 (but this is closer than a mouses whisker)
