He does make too many mistakes nebby lad but ive been watching Leigh for 47 years and I know he will not make it. I just hope that we carry on todays performance (great beer prices at the cricket club) with a win next week against haven. Just hope the liverpool Utd game doesnt distract people away from the game

Lets see wot everyone else think of this comment! Whilst some may agree with you I'd imagine most will disagree lMorty is a good player in the making but he's still learning his trade, he's certainly not the finnished product & there's alot more is to come from him the lad's got potential.

Morty is in last chance saloon at Leigh. He hasn't kicked on from his debut, makes mistakes in defence and doesn't run the ball back with any conviction. Hopefully his stint with Haven will give him the kick up the backside he needs. There are a couple of good uns in the U21's snapping at his heels. It's up to Morty now to show IM that he is the next fullback for Leigh.

I must watch a different Morty, only needs to work on his defence a bit more, hes still only young and has a experianced fullback to learn from .

BTW he was there yesterday watching HIS team, now thats commitment.

TBH I hope he does improve and goes on to prove most of us wrong, he clearly loves the club and playing for the club and these are the peoplle we should want at Leigh

Watch him from a neutral point of view rather than wanting him to be a great player and you will see plenty or areas he can improve.



Don't get me wrong I don't want him to have flaws in his game but there is no point ignoring them just because he is commited to HIS club!

I am committed and support the club, doesn’t mean I am good enough to play for them, he's got age on his side but i think dropping down a level he will be much more comfortable and confident. And who knows in the future he could be a good NL1 player at the moment he is 4-5 years away unfortunaly that is too long for Leigh to wait.

I posted on a previous thread that i thought Haven could win this game and they did. I also posted that i thought Morty could well score, and he did. From all accounts he put in a good, solid performance. The only thing i need to know now is did he do any poseing upon scoring or indeed at any time during the game?

no poseing from what i seen, clapped the fans at the start of the game and then end,took a lovley pass for his try and was solid at the back , was in the bar with his familyafter the game talked to lots of fans and seemed very humble.
