This is the biggest hurdle the club have to overcome. They have seen it in the attendances over the past few years. There is apathy in Leigh when it comes to Leigh Centurions. Overcoming that apathy (which is growing year on year) is the biggest challenge that this club has ever had. 30 years ago 80% of population of the town would have been able to name at least one member of the team. I bet that figure now would be less than 10% of the population of the town.

How many would normally attend Mish? It may just be with such a long gap since we last played at home that fans forgot about it.

I don't, I wouldn't pay £200 for a season ticket if I did.

Thirty years ago, in 1982, we had just won the Div 1 Championship so I reckon almost everyone would have been able to name Woody or Des!!!!!

I'm not entirely sure how many people were at the first fans forum Glow (when we were in serious trouble and in danger of going to the wall) but the room was packed out and we had almost 100 listening in online.

My opinion on the turn out mish is that when things where going wrong a lot more people turned up because they care about the club, but now as you say things are running a lot better and smoother, so i think the same people think everythings ok and don't bother going to the fans forum not because they don't care if you see what i mean but as they don't feel the need too. Does that make sense.

There is normally a drop in attendance at these sort of forums. The first one will always have the highest turnout because people are worried, curious, unhappy, angry etc. As things improve and concerns go away then there is no urgency to attend. Falling numbers are a positive sign rather than a negative one.

In fairness Mish I suspect the drop has more to do it with it being half term and people away on holiday / days out etc rather than a major apathy.

Throw in the fact that many feel things are getting better so its less of a 'crisis' event.

I'd hope it carries on as its a breath of fresh air the club being so open and accessable (be it live or via the internet).

maybe not everyone, but YES they are. What has it gained Featherstone for dominating our league for the past 3 seasons....ticking a box. Bless........

I had a ticket waiting for me in reception so I could attend..........didn't get home till 7.45 so couldn't make it I`m afraid.

I hope you're all correct in what you say, and part of me thinks you're right. I just wish there was a few more people to listen to the positive news and show the Board and Paul that we appreciate their hard work and determination in getting us to where we are today.
