I heard Adawande had signed for Warrington but I do not know how true. He is certainly an exciting player with bags of pace.
Nicky Ratcliffe I rate highly.
I have not ventured down to East of late though. It's a different atmosphere these days and the actions from some on the clubs commitee well, actually I better leave it there.

Young Nicky Ratcliffe is my nephew and he was on Leigh books (schoolship) but when they did any with us having an 18s team he was released, shame no ones scouted him from Leigh since though, hes a hooker and very good.

The channel was a new satellite service for pubs & clubs only called Sportcast that you needed a huge dish for but showed Div 2 rugby , but the channel was a bit naff really and only lasted about 6 months .
Well any road , As I remember Leigh v Rochdale was the 1st match on , it was a down Monday night and the nearest place that had it on was a grubby little hole called Sacred Heart Caths Club on Swan Lane up an alley behind the church  , but they'd put a pon of lobby on for us  , We won the game but Cully broke his leg and I keep thinking was it that game that Tommy Hayes scored a drop goal from near the half way line ? . |

I remember going to that game and was one of the young ruffians that got the interview stopped after the match. It's always been remembered in our house as the Whitelam Robbery. Great to see it again (and Hayes's mill where I worked for several years).
