| Negatives from Saturday's game:
Robbie Williams
PA in North Stand is terrible (volume wise) but at least this negated having to listen to Williams
Stop bringing drums
Handling errors galore (I'm looking at you Hoppy).
Positives:
Our "replacements" at 1, 6, 7 and 9 (both) went well, I personally thought Burns should have been MoM, his best game for us, which doesn't say much but he controlled everything attack wise and defensively was strong too.
Lambrini did indeed have a poor game, positive for us.
The North stand was fantastic, felt louder than it was even at the most hysterical times vs Huddersfield and that's with half the people more concerned with getting drunk than what is happening on the pitch.
I think the errors do stand out more than and skill in the game but I thought the team as a whole and its makeshift nature still gelled very well.

| Quote atomic="atomic"Very poor game of RL.'" Yup. and as previously discussed, a missed opportunity to get a plethora of new ticket sign-ups for next year by displaying champagne rugby to past and new potential clients. A blatant disconnect between marketing and Jukes on this one? Yeah I know, Jukes rested players as he wants to top the table by beating Leeds, etc. etc.
Even "free" didn't fill the ground to max capacity. With 10K plus target audience in front of you - SELL, SELL, SELL.
Have a great week everyone...

| I thought the game lost a bit of edge because we were already promoted. There were lots of changes, so it was a little disjointed. Most of those coming in hadn't played since July - so I don't think we could expect too much! They did a good job against a team who had more to play for and who we had struggled against in the two championship games - home & away. It was nice to see Burns have a decent game and Smith's goal kicking was excellent. Enjoyed the day

Congratulations, you win the award for the most clueless and stupid post of the week. (are you Paul Rowley?)
The marketing department telling Jukes how they want the game playing?????.....that might work if both teams agree to allow the other team to play how they like, and both teams have nothing to play for. Jukes wanted to give the guys who hadn't played in the eights or who were leaving a game and considering how long it is since alot of them had played together, the performance showed just how good the coaching must be.

Ste, I don't sING the Flute Song, but it doesn't bother me when it is sung, I've heard much worse,I've been watching Leigh for around 55 years now and in the 60s the songs and bad language from the Railway End was frowned on,on another site it has been posted that Derek, Micky Higham and a few other players also sing it,the Jimmy Savile song is worse , but it's still sung on a regular basis, songs will always be sung like them or loathe them,it seems to me a hell a lot of Leythers are singing it.

| I myself was guilty of a lot of those songs from the Railway End Charlie. Mind you I was only about 13 or 14.

You are correct Charlie, it will continue through the generations because kids see/hear their dads singing it. I hate it.

| When I was young, The Munich Song was prevalent at the old Burnden Park. When much older I heard rumours that a hardcore of Trotters duck'eeds were planning to sing it at Old Trafford as King Nat and others laid a wreath to the fallen on the 40th anniversary of the crash. Despite reports to the contrary it didn't happen and I have never heard it since. It only takes one generation of sufficiently mature parents to kill these songs by firstly not singing them in front of their kids and secondly rollicking those kids if the parents hear them doing it. There is hope, Reffy.
Ps. Bolton got a draw that day and Cole & Sheringham are still throwing their toys at each other.
