So sad to hear this news. As has already been said, he seemed fine last time I saw him. His loud voice will be missed on the terraces. Nobody could shift them half time tickets like he could! Truly a sad day. I hope that he is remembered at the next match.

It also leaves the question as to who the RFL will use to guide the touch judges in future as Brian could be guaranteed to know whether or not a kick would be converted as soon as it touched the kicker's boot!

Very sad news, I had many interesting conversations with him when we worked at Turners. The word 'fan' was designed for Brian.

Very Sad news this ,for the Fans , the Club ,his Friends , butmost important his family, Brian you will be missed.

Up to last season , Brian was a regular visitor to our house , as he used to come to away games with our Danni ,and myself ,he was a friend at the Caroli house,Leigh games wont be the same without hearing Brians encouraging shouts to the team,or his Half-time draw cries of "They dont sell them outside the Ground",here was a TRUE LEYTHER, who will be sadly missed,I SALUTE YOU BRIAN,Miss you to.

Very sad news and condolences to all his family and friends. Brian was one of the most memorable faces down at Hilton Park with his catchphrase being uttered by many. Leigh will be poorer this coming season for his loss in more ways than one.

This is terrible, terrible news. Used to like bumping into Brian in Asda and chewing the fat. I'm really sorry that although I saw Brian last Wednesday didn't get chance to speak to him. Will always remember the kids waiting for him with the half time draw tickets. Deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

Like everyone, I'm so shocked and so saddened by this news.



And let's not forget his unsung involvement which helped to save the club in 1991 - Brian was very much at the forefront of that and it is thanks to his efforts then that we still have a club to support now. We all owe him a huge debt.

I am deeply saddened at this news. My wife and I were chatting to him last week, and it was obvious he was still heart-broken and missing his dear wife, who also passed away recently.



If only the rest of us could muster the passion Brian displayed for Leigh Centurions, what a thriving club we would have.



My deepest condolences to all the Ward family, and here's hoping you are now re-united with the missus Brian. Rest in peace.
