| Quote Stealth Comic="Stealth Comic"To a certain extent I agree, the odd bit of profanity I can understand, it's a passionate game. Many spectator sports evolved because it was a place where the working class man could let off some steam after a weeks graft.
When the profanity is aimed at other people in the stands it becomes abuse, which should not be tolerated.
What I saw crossed that line between profanity and abuse. I can fully understand why MICKY1920 is annoyed about it, his daughter, amongst other even younger kids, were sat a few yards away from where I was in the West Stand and no kid should have to hear what was said then.'"
Stealth, thought according to Leiegh fans I'm spouting broken biscuits, never witness'd it.
If I uploaded the video they would say I never filmed it.
Every club has it's problem fans, but the forum response is "stop stirring you muppet"

| A point of curiosity, about the game yesterday. Why, when two of our 'play-makers' - Ridyard and Duffy - were taken off, did Robbie Paul get moved to full back? That, in my view, contributed to the disappointing final ten minutes, when we could have been piling it on. Surely, Maden or Alstead to full back would have worked better, leaving at least one 'play-maker' where he was needed? Robbie didn't look very happy with the move, and seemed to be complaining to Rowley! (unless he wanted to come off, too! )

The above video shows incident in which Wray collided with a Leigh player on the ground.
In my view it was belief this was the reason for Jamaine being subject of abuse and it was not racial abuse, just
fans who believed Wray had taken a cheap shot.
I think two players were totally committed to the ball and one went to ground and turned his back whilst he had forward momentum. If you check the replay, Wray was attempted to slow down when the collision occurred and I think having watched prior to incident, I don't see any reason for this to have been anything other than an accident. I think the ref was spot on with his decision.

| There are not many grounds were I have felt intimidated by the opposition supporters as in general I stand with my own.
Where this has been unavoidable, Hull KR, Hull, Featherstone, Halifax, and Warrington to name just 5 are were I have been subjected to abuse enough to make me move from where I have chosen to stand/sit. This was usually because I didnt want my child getting involved at all. I dont want to menion any other clubs as this may be concieved as a tit for tat scenario.
Unfortunately verbals happen everywhere but I DO NOT condone racial verbals and anyone found quilty of such actions should be banned from all sports stadia FOR LIFE

| Basil is well known for thinking outside the box, perhaps he was experimenting in a live game situation with players positions, he does have 'form' for this type of thing, better doing it as an experiment in a won game situation than being forced upon a team when its crucial.

See your point Fred. However, something was narking Robbie - perhaps he felt, at 'his age' he deserved a rest before Riddy & Duffy?

In the past Robbie has been a World class performer at fullback for the Bulls thats probably why IM played him there. My biggest 'gripe' is out wide where we ship points for fun! its pretty much the backs we had last year, amazingly!, so I we should not be surprised I suppose Good little player Jonny Pressley they seemed to score out wide every time he had the ball I fear for us at Barrow because Jamie Rooney will inflict the same punishment too, with Catic and Harrison in the centre's it might be torture!! fortunately I wont be there to see it

I have watched the video and agree with your analysis. As a Leigh fan, I initially thought this was deliberate, but now think the player was trying to slow down but was too near.

| My view too although I did not think so at the time.
I certainly did not hear any racist chanting though or hear a Keighley fan' although' I did see a few in the west stand.
I made an ill judged post on another thread due to having been out all day but I thought we should have won a lot more convincingly.
I have recovered and will see all the remaining games as a penance for my indiscretion.
